- Link riding Epona to action WIP update 11
- Posted on December 03, 2011
It has been a while since I updated this drawing.
Maybe I could leave it as finished this time? If not, maybe the next update will make it so. I really like how it has gotten now, but Epona still looks a bit round. Many things from anatomy to background is updated this time. Link Riding Epona to Action might be my best drawing yet again. Larger version of the image is available by clicking the image.
Made in ArtRage 2.5-3.5 with Intuos GD-Intuos 4L tablets and various computers, 2010-2011. This is Fan Art based on Nintendo game series The Legend of Zelda.

Hello! Time for another update to my Zelda drawing featuring Link and his horse Epona. It has come a long way and might be on it’s way to getting finished. In this update many things have been redrawn and more detailed. Anatomy fixes and so on.
- Wacom Intuos4 unpacking
- Posted on March 03, 2010
It’s never easy when a Tablet brakes down. One feels so handicapped. Right, one can still draw on a paper, but it’s not the same. Enter Wacom Intuos4 Large.
The Package was bigger then I thought it would be. The package Art is really inviting and yet so pretty a part of me did not want to open it. It feels good that I have documented the unpacking process so I can relive this moment.
And now to the unpacking and a few more shots:
I will post impressions and/or a review later on. New drawings should also soon be uploaded to the site.
- My Wacom Intuos GD tablet is broken
- Posted on January 24, 2010
My Wacom tablet broke this week. So there has not been so much going on.
Just to the left of the center on the active area, from top to bottom, one to two cm wide area has stopped responding. Similar on the right side of the center, but maybe less then a cm wide area. This seams to also lead to heavier CPU usage overall then before.
Before, the tablet mostly had problems responding to actions from the pen.
I guess that is the end of the road for the tablet I bought summer last year (2009). I really need a new one. The next one will probably be a brand new Intuos 4 Medium. I can’t really afford it, but my dad will probably help me out and give me a payment plan that can work. No more old used expensive stuff.
Even tho I did not have it such a long time, the Intuos GD tablet is really old, from the days before Windows XP. It did not really fit that well with Windows Vista either, was a bit of hacking one could say, to get it done. I think I had to use old and new installer and add registry key. Most of the work and trail and error to get it working was made by other people wanting their old tablets to work under Windows Vista.
My goal with my old tablet was for it to pay for itself with my growing talent and possibly me earning money on making and selling art made with it.
Even if I don’t feel like I have hit my target, most of the drawings on this site is made by the tablet an I have gotten better at drawing. In honer of the tablet and all drawings I have made with it, I have create a category called Intuos GD and I will put all drawings I have made with it in that category. And I will create a new category for the new tablet when it arrives.
Thats all for now.

I don’t think I’m going for exactly the same look as the official Nintendo The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess game and art has on Link and Epona. But it feels good.
When it comes to the background, I’m thinking if I should have some enemies drawn in. Maybe Ganondorf? Maybe skip enemies and focus on Link and Epona? About the environment, I think I want the drawing (and later painting) to be set in the fall.
The end format is probably going to become Widescreen.
I’m about 90 pages into my Conan book now. Robert E. Howard was a Master when it comes to Action in the written words.

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most Epic game series of all time and maybe the second most important series in Nintendo’s library.
I have been working on this drawing a while now. I’m not that good at drawing horses so I have taken some help from my girlfriend (she corrected the original shapes of the horse I drew and afterwards gave me advice) and I simply worked a lot on Epona.
I feel proud of this image and I like how ArtRage makes it look.
I will add a background, fix Epona somewhat, add more details and clean the linework up before this state is finished.
Then I think I will use water color style on it from ArtRage 3 Studio.
There is still a question on what’s happening in the drawing. There will be updates on the drawing later on. Soon time to sleep. 🙂

Fan-Art time. Marvel’s Captain America. The Bucky version. In these posts I will show parts of the drawing process from early on to coloring. All is being done with my old Wacom tablet in ArtRage 2.5 for now, but might end in ArtRage 3 Studio.
A update will come soon. 🙂 I hope to learn something from this and I think I will.
- New The Pirate Berry drawing and Gun Girl
- Posted on November 04, 2009
I don’t know why I haven’t posted the Gun Girl drawing on the Blog earlier, but now it’s up anyway! With Gun Girl and the new The Pirate Berry I think that my linework has improved a bit. Even the way I build up the body structure from the beginning. I think I could leave them both as finished if I wanted to, but I’m not sure I want that. And as it’s my own work without a deadline, I can change them anyway and anytime I want to even if I added them as finished. 😀
I guess you can see (well, it depends on your monitor actually) that The Pirate Berry drawing has a brighter white background then Gun Girl. That is because I made the background for The Pirate Berry transparent in ArtRage and exported the drawing as a PNG image file and gave it a white background in Paint.net, while GunGirl keeps it’s background from ArtRage. I wonder if one could get a brighter background in ArtRage somehow?
Thats all for now. If you want to see more of my art, head over to the Portfolio on the menu. And for all people who comes here for Star Wars fanart, I hope I can redeem me from the joke that is my Darth Vader drawing (here and here) by making something much better with more planing and skill work. Any suggestions to what you want to see? 😉
