This is not a major update, but a good one I think. I can draw and paint most things with ArtRage. Don’t think I can say that about many other programs.

Looks like this is my best perspective drawing yet. Starting with painting seams to be a good idea.
- Boy Room – Drawing in perspective over the painting
- Posted on December 16, 2012
In this update I’m drawing over the painting in perspective so I can get it right. When that is done I can add things in to the room and make it all look better before I paint it over again.
I’m using a perspective grid I made that is converted into a stencil in ArtRage. A stencil is good because it can be placed partly outside the canvas area and it can be hidden when not in use. A stencil can also act as a ruler and you can spin it around, which gives even more possibilities.
At the beginning of this part I made sure that the lines in the perspective grid stencil was somewhat aligned with the lines of the painting before I painted it on to a new layer. It created a 1 point perspective in blue. Is important to get the right height on the perspective point which gives a horizontal line, so my thought was to see the room through a camera in the approximate height of a person’s eyes. The desk chair is not pointing directly at the desk, so I decided to put up a 2 point perspective outside the canvas surface and paint the lines of the grid in orange were the chair is on yet another layer. I had to change the perspective points a few times to get the lines of the stencil somewhat aligned with the chair before I found the final place of the grid.

I’m thinking about adding in a ghost, monster or possibly living toys. Not sure yet. This is so far painted without perspective points. I have problems drawing rooms and places with and without perspective so this time I’m trying to paint it out instead with the thought of repainting it into perspective with the use of a grid or ruler. This is painted in ArtRage Studio Pro which you can get a look at here if you are interested.
- The Avengers Project – Ms. Marvel WIP 01
- Posted on February 23, 2011
I’m a big fan of the Superhero team (or teams) called the Avengers which has been a part of the Marvel Comic Book world since 1963. In that time many characters have come and gone. What I’m going to do here is to draw and paint characters that has been or is a part of a Avengers teams. This is the biggest Fan Art project I have ever done.
In a accident Carol Danvers got Super Powers from the Alien known as Captain Marvel. She becomes Ms. Marvel, a woman with superhuman strength, ability to fly and shooting energy bursts from her hands. She is a character that has been through allot in the Comics. Different alliances, near death experience and loss of powers. If you want to know more, click here or grab yourself a Comic Book Album on Amazon.com (or somewhere else.)
This is drawn in ArtRage 3 Studio with my Wacom Intuos4L tablet. It’s not finished yet. Minor fixes, a background and some colors would be nice!

Scarlet Witch is a Mutant with Hex power. One of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. At her best, she can change all reality after her own mind. At her worst, she can alter the probability of things happening. More info at her official Marvel Universe Wiki page.
This is drawn and painted in ArtRage 3 Studio with my Wacom Intuos4 tablet. With other words, drawn and painted digitally on my computer.
I don’t consider this fineshed yet, but at this point I don’t think I can make it any better. But one day I might revisit it and rework colors and details.
Don’t miss out on the Movie versions of the Avengers
Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor and Avengers. Captain America and Thor is out this summer, Avengers is out the next year.
- WIP Soldier Girl update 3
- Posted on March 31, 2009
Just an update on all the updates of Soldier Girl. This shows and will show all of the pictures. The First ones are somewhat crappy Digital Camera shots as I sometimes don’t want to scan a drawing while I work on it. As of now, I don’t know how much of or how many drawings I will show the process off and I won’t get much feedback right now from readers as this site is mostly a test site right now so I can get the feel of it. Even then, might take allot to get comments anyway. 🙂

Things that needs to be fixed are her arms and feet. And I should do something about her hair and the gun that I think looks like a blowdryer. After that comes the background.
Thats mosly it before I can add more detail and maybe color it.

No better name yet, a drawing I started today. Because I don’t have a tablet and I want lots of detail, I will add to it both in Paint.net and by hand on paper.
More about this later. 🙂
