• Wolverine up against the wall

  • This is a Wolverine drawing I’m working on. I wanted to see how it looks in color and I really like the result. I have ideas I have not implemented yet in this drawing, so a update might be on it’s way.

  • Spider-Man and Spider-Woman kissing

  • Now we are getting close to the final Art. I might add Spider-Woman’s other hand (somewhere), tweak hair, lines, shading and light. Things that will make this image look even better. I wonder if I might loose viewers not waiting for a more final version? But then again, this is as close to final I have ever come (even counting in finished ones) and I will strive to as close or closer when I create new Art.

Painted and Line Art versions made in Manga Studio 5 and I have been drawing them on my Intuos 4L tablet.

The Art is based on a older version on this Superhero kissing theme with the same characters. You can see it here below. I hope you like the newer ones best! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Tragic Marvel Love 01 โ€“ Cyclops and Phoenix – update 01
  • Posted on March 15, 2015
  • When I read X-Men it still feels weird to see Emma Frost with together with Scott Summers. I miss Jean Grey.

My idea was to make a powerful scene with Cyclops and Phoenix and the idea came from poses on a old drawing I found on my computer.

Tools: DAZ Studio, Manga Studio, Wacom Intuos 4L tablet.

Updated and now with Line Art version.

  • Some drawings I'm working on

  • The second one is a redrawing of a old one that I did in ArtRage and now I’m working in Manga Studio 5. More on the other two later.

  • Isometric drawings
  • Posted on November 02, 2014
  • There are more ways to draw environments and backgrounds then in perspective. Like Isometric drawing. Click on the images for bigger size and you can see the Grid I’m using to draw these.

If I create comics I think I’m going to use Isometric drawing for some of the backgrounds because I like the look of some Isometric backgrounds I have seen and the Grid helps a lot to show where to draw the lines. It also makes it more easy to emulate Game Art.

    Some specs:

Made in Manga Studio 5 with the size A4 600 PPI using the Grid tool and Snap to Grid where I created my own Isometric Grid.

  • A ongoing living room drawing in One Point Perspective Update 01
  • Posted on October 10, 2014
  • Where to begin? Maybe by saying that I first draw the room and perspective grid and go from there. Basic shapes first according to more or less it’s real size and then add details and change things so they fit. As of now I’m probably at 45 layers and I don’t think I use half of them. But some of the layers have information that I might need if I mess something up.

I’m pretty new at doing a real attempt at perspective drawing and I really like how this one is going. it’s loosely based on a old apartment that I had previously, but it will have a spin on modern electronics and I will try to fit it all to a character that will live there.

Much will be added and some changed. Some things will probably not point to the same perspective, but how to set it up I don’t know yet. I have not found much on alternative perspectives in a drawing yet.

    Click for larger image.

But for all things I don’t know, it’s a lot more easy to draw now as using a grid, drawing to scale, Manga Studio 5 perspective rulers, real measurements, free transform tool, doing some things in 2D and more direct reference images really helps!

I think there is to little information (tutorials and so on) on perspective drawing with software, especially ones with tools for drawing perspective. Even less without videos. So I’m thinking about making tutorials (both written ones with images and videos) and make better ones when I learn better ways or wrongs I do.

That is all for now, back to the drawing tablet!
