  • Stuff I’m working on – 2
  • Posted on September 27, 2015
  • Under the title “Stuff I’m working on” I will showcase Art in various state of progress. I may or may not write about the Art or how I’m working on it. If Art is developed further they will probably get their own posts further on anyway. If you have questions you can leave a comment or write to me on the feedback page. I hope this will help me post more Art more frequently and easier than before.

And now for the second batch of Art:

The last one is finally getting into perspective.

  • Girl with fedora 01
  • Posted on September 20, 2015
  • This will be my first image upload in a while on this site. I have had big problems with the site that apparently did not end when I did a complete new install except most important parts of the database and the images. I still could not show new images in the Blog. Apparently my gallery/image plug-in could not handle the size of image files that I’m working on even through it’s suppose to resize them after upload. No matter, I have had problems viewing and handling my large images on my tablet so I was thinking about making resized copies of all my Art on the computer. I looked for something that could handle resize images in bulk, or maybe I should say batch. I found IrfanView and it seams to work good and fast. So now I will have a lot smaller copies of my Art ready to upload with just a small bit of extra work.

    And now to the Art:

The thought of this partly come from watching Agent Carter on Netflix. I think my girl with fedora is suppose to be a detective. It’s made in Manga Studio 5 and nearly finished, and yet finished for now.

  • A Sorceress update 2 – Near finished
  • Posted on February 14, 2015
  • I have for a long time wanted to make a few fantasy character drawings I could be happy with. Now I have one down. I might make some changes to this Sorceress image, but I think it is time to move on to something other and see if some cool things I have managed with this one can be repeated and maybe improved on.

This is the Sorceress. Line Art in vecors, flat colors in a layer, a shading layer, 3 layers for skin, other layers for other textures, 2 correction layers and other stuff. Made in Manga Studio 5 with Wacom Intuos 4L tablet. If I would add more details later, I would probably get some textures for the staff.

Click on images for larger size.

Next up a close up so you can see more details and the skin textures. I have used 3 layers of Airbrush to get the effect.

At last we have the Line Art version.

    That’s it.

  • Testpicture with ArtRage 2.5
  • Posted on July 15, 2009
  • I got ArtRage 2.5 as a gift from my girlfriends dad (well, my girlfriend took the money and paid for it online so I could get the download). It’s a good fit with my old  Wacom Tablet, but I do have some problems, many of them  thanks to Windows Vista messing with the tablet.

Anyhow, here is a test picture that might evolve to something.

It would be fun to digitally (and somewhat on real paper) draw and paint comics.

The best things with ArtRage for me so far is the pencil and brush tools and all the other tools as they are by far the best I have ever used. Like rulers, they are perfect when drawing and painting in perspective. And I like the textured canvas. But I do miss the line tool. I still have so much to learn. Being able to save and to open as PSD file format helps to, as the projects can be worked on Photoshop and other programs that support  the PSD format.

  • This is an ongoing project of mine. I’m basing this charter losely on my girlfriend. But she will probably turn into something far away from who my girlfriend is. 🙂

  • New VS Old 01 – Shatterbolt Girl
  • Posted on April 08, 2009
  • Welcome to the first edition of New VS Old.  Here I will present new and old versions of the same characters, images, similar stuff and other I can come to think of. I come up with the idea so I could see how far I’ve come in drawing style and skill. Some or rather many images will be here because I’ve had many cool ideas and poses with many drawings, but thanks to lack of proper drawing skills, the images ain’t what I wanted them to be or what they could have been. But now I can change that.

Some of the drawings I don’t know when they are from as I’m not the best at putting out date and year on them, but if I can pinpoint it somewhat, I will.

    Image missing

    no images were found

Now to the first Image. I call her Shatterbolt Girl right now, but It will change if I’m going to use her for, well, stuff.

I think the first name I gave her was Shatterstar, but there is already two Marvel Comics characters with that name and the first one predates my birth, so it´s a no no. 😛

Anyway, she is suppose to be a Superhero that throws firebolts. The idea for the mask is somewhat taken from the Spider-Man 2099 character (soon back in print as a TPB and comics). I think I wanted her to have much cloths and still be so naked as I could make her.

I think that’s it for the first edition!

If you have any thoughts, you can always write a comment. 🙂

  • WIP Soldier Girl update 3
  • Posted on March 31, 2009
  • Just an update on all the updates of Soldier Girl. This shows and will show all of the pictures. The First ones are somewhat crappy Digital Camera shots as I sometimes don’t want to scan a drawing while I work on it. As of now, I don’t know how much of or how many drawings I will show the process off and I won’t get much feedback right now from readers as this site is mostly a test site right now so I can get the feel of it. Even then, might take allot to get comments anyway. 🙂
