I like the X-Men, but I do miss Jean Grey and Scott Summers as a couple. Scott and Emma just ain’t the same thing. That’s a reason for me to read up on old collected X-Men Comics and Chris Claremont’s new X-Men Forever set in an alternative 90-ties Marvel world. And that is also why I have made this Fan Art of The Phoenix & Cyclops. May they some day find a way back to each others arms.

This is made in ArtRage 3 Studio with my Wacom Intuos 4L tablet. Click on image for larger version as usual.

This is another update to Marvel girl. This time I have changed the Line Art to Inks and updated it. I have also added colors.

Because I draw and paint digitally with my Intuos 4 tablet in ArtRage, using Layers, I’m able to redraw and repaint anything whenever I want to.

So if I color/paint something I have drawn, I might redraw it if I feel like it. Or maybe do small updates to the lines. When painting this Marvel Girl drawing, I have found lines that would look better changed or parts of the canvas that would look better with more lines. With that in mind, I might start painting my works as a part of the process instead of waiting for the Line Art to be finished.

I learn by doing after all. As the title says, this is still unfinished work, but it’s really getting close to a finished piece of Art. I think some lines will be changed and more darks and highlights will be added and changed to better show of lights and shadow.

As usual, click on the images to see a bigger version and earlier versions of this drawings can bee seen on Related Posts function at the bottom of this post.

Marvel Girl

Marvel Girl is the first Alias used by Jean Grey, one of five founding member of the fictional Super Hero team known as X-Men that exists in Marvels comics world. She is a Mutant, and that means she is born with powers that in most cases is manifested during the teenage years. She is born with telepathic and telekinetic powers, as in being able to read, communicate with and control minds as well control (move) physical things with her mind.

In comics, the X-Men Movies and cartoons, she is more known as The Phoenix. To read more about her, turn in to her Marvel Comics page.

The Line Art of Marvel Girl might be finished now in this update, but I ain’t sure. I might find some things I want to improve on her. I think I really improved on her anatomy after the last update. And her skirt that just did not work in the previous version. Next update might bring some colors!

A while ago I saw that somebody had used the search words “Marvel Girl” on Google and found a drawing on my site. But the problem was, even if that person would have liked the drawing she or he found, it was not Marvel Girl. Because of that, I decided to make a Marvel Girl drawing.

I want to draw Cyclops next, but I have not decided what costume he should be drawn in. Maybe a classic just like the Marvel Girl one? I’m also thinking about creating a Fan Art Portfolio, it might come in hand as I really like making Fan Art as well as more original drawings.
