It has been a while since I updated this drawing.
Maybe I could leave it as finished this time? If not, maybe the next update will make it so. I really like how it has gotten now, but Epona still looks a bit round. Many things from anatomy to background is updated this time. Link Riding Epona to Action might be my best drawing yet again. Larger version of the image is available by clicking the image.
Made in ArtRage 2.5-3.5 with Intuos GD-Intuos 4L tablets and various computers, 2010-2011. This is Fan Art based on Nintendo game series The Legend of Zelda.

Hello! Time for another update to my Zelda drawing featuring Link and his horse Epona. It has come a long way and might be on it’s way to getting finished. In this update many things have been redrawn and more detailed. Anatomy fixes and so on.

Again after another hiatus I’m back working on this drawing. It has changed even more then before. If you want to see the changes made on it you can look at Related Post under this post, there you will find older versions of this drawing. This drawing is now even wider and there has been many changes to the Anatomy and Line Art as well as the background. I have finally been able to chose a lighter more white Canvas in ArtRage, but it’s still not as white as I would like it to be. Oh well. 😀
As usual, click on the image for a larger version.

This time I have done more Anatomy updates on Link and Epona. I have also tried to create a better flow and sense of power in the drawing.
What do you think of Link’s new face?
I think this will be my first real atempt to color anything in ArtRage 3 Studio when the Line Art is done and I might get there soon.

My girlfriend has been on me a bit about the Anatomy of Epona and I have a few reference images of horses, but I have not really understood what I saw when looking at them. But now after some redrawing I understand my girl’s words and two reference pictures a lot better. I guess it’s about learning by drawing! 😀
This is the seventh update of this The Legend of Zelda fan Art on this site and thirteenth actual update to the drawing. I guess it’s nearing completion and it’s probably my best drawing ever, especially after this update!
What makes me feel so good about this update is that Epona is much closer to looking like a actual horse and Link has gotten a few anatomy tweaks, like his ears, throat and left arm.
I’m not sure if I should let Link and Epona be alone in the forest in this one or if I should put something or someone more into it. Like, would this drawing and Link with a drawn sword look better if Ganondorf stood in front of our heroes? What do you think?
I think I want to color it when it’s done and also put some texture in on Link’s clothes. And maybe I should learn some shading?
Maybe I should add this update to my very none existent drawings on my DeviantArt account? Oh well, it’s early on my twenty-sixth birthday now and I should get some sleep.
EDIT: Fixed a word that was wrong.

Next update will probably be about adding more details to leafs and maybe even more of them! Hehe. But I will also take more steps to make this drawing into Widescreen, probably even add more detail to the trees, Link and Epona. I think both Link and Epona needs some Anatomy fixing.

Been a long while since I worked on this drawing. For the forth update on my Link drawing, I have begun drawing on a background and made minor changes to Epona.
Maybe I should make this drawing Widescreen soon.

I don’t think I’m going for exactly the same look as the official Nintendo The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess game and art has on Link and Epona. But it feels good.
When it comes to the background, I’m thinking if I should have some enemies drawn in. Maybe Ganondorf? Maybe skip enemies and focus on Link and Epona? About the environment, I think I want the drawing (and later painting) to be set in the fall.
The end format is probably going to become Widescreen.
I’m about 90 pages into my Conan book now. Robert E. Howard was a Master when it comes to Action in the written words.

Update to my The Legend Of Zelda drawing featuring Link on Epona. As always, click on image for bigger size.
Epona has gotten some anatomy fixes, Link has gotten taller and details added. More will come to this fan art project.
